New category, why not.
This is the second movie in roughly 2 weeks that I have decided was ok to bring my kids to. I have two boys one is a month from being 12 and the other is 7. I am obsessed with all things natural disaster. So this movie did not have anything in it, based on previews, that my boys haven’t seen before. And now after seeing the movie I have the same feeling. It was the previews that had me hiding eyes and covering ears. There were at least two horror flick previews. One was about a creapy doll. After said preview I looked at Tyler, the almost 12 year old, and said “Now you know why I hate dolls!”.
Into the Storm was like a new version of Twister. I love Twister. This movie made it more realistic though. No tortured love story running through out. No comic relief. Just twisters. And of course random people dying …… no spoilers. All of that aside though, it was a great movie. It would have been awesome in some kind of 4D theatre. You know with the moving seats and the giant screen and the 3D glasses. Maybe a theatre like the one they use for Soarin’ in Epcot? That would be good.
I definitely recommend this movie. Just, if you are bringing the little ones, maybe you should skip the previews.
